- Television networks that broadcast over the airwaves must follow the regulations of the Federal Communications Commission and operate in the public interest. Cable networks, however, have much more freedom and First Amendment protection. Have you noticed any difference between cable networks and broadcast networks?
- Most television programming is financed by advertising. Public broadcasting is not. Have you noticed any difference between the commercial and non-commercial programs?
