I have been trying to replace the work "but" with the word "and" whenever I can, and I see it worked very well in the previous sentence.
Yesterday I had a minor medical procedure (an upper G.I. endoscopy), which made me feel a little out of sync with time. Perhaps it all just shows how arbitrary time is. Because I was unconscious when they stuck that tube down my throat (and I am grateful for that), I lost about an hour. The anesthesia also has some lingering effects ("feeling groovy"). Anyway I ended up sleeping for about 12 hours last night, which is just fine.
The main point of I Just Want to Be Happy is that happiness is achieved by living in the present moment and not worrying about the past or future unnecessarily. I plan to do that as much as possible. Right now I know I would benefit greatly by going for a run, so I think I will do that. Because of the snow, I plan to go to the gym at the college to run on the treadmill.
Tomorrow I will find another agent and submit a pitch letter to that agent. Keep trying; never give up.
11 p.m. update: A 30-minute run on the treadmill and an evening with the drumming circle--it just doesn't get any better than this!
