Pray for Peace

Yesterday's tragedy in Boston has been weighing heavily on my mind and heart today. I have several friends who I knew were running, and I have finally learned that they all made it home safely.

I had an appointment with my primary care physician, Dr. Carol Topolewski this afternoon. We have known each other for 30 years, and she knows me as well as anyone. In the middle of the appointment, she pulled out her iPhone and played a beautiful song by Peter, Paul & Mary called 'Wild Places." She took my hand and asked me to pray for peace with her. So we just sat there with our eyes closed, holding hands and praying for peace. It was a beautiful experience.

I don't think my insurance covers that kind of treatment. Perhaps they should.

This evening I have been asked to offer a prayer at an interfaith service to honor those affected by the tragedy. It's an honor.
